William D. Meals, 89, of the Caring Place formerly of Emlenton passed away peaceful, Friday, January 26, 2018.
Bill was born March 24, 1928 in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County, he was the son of the late Floyd S. Meals and Mazie McLaughlin Meals.
Bill received his education from Brush Hill Schools. He retired from Cooper Bessimer in Grove City as a machinist. Bill was married to the former Velma Rossman Meals, she survives at the Caring Place.
Bill was an avid outdoors man. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He found great joy in his family, especially his grandchildren.
Loved ones left to cherish his memory are his children Sharon Shaw and her husband Gary of Clintonville and Rick A. Meals and his fiancée Wendy Cirkpatrick Beebe of Emlenton. His brothers Kenneth Meals and wife Delores of Stoneboro and Robert Meals and his wife Edna of Grove City. His sister Mabel Pettit and her husband Ivan of Kennerdell. His grandchildren Jason Shaw and wife Yvonne, Lori Stoltenburg, Tiffany Meals, Chris Meals and wife Michelle, Brandi Miller, Jackie Michaels, Holly Beggs and husband Adam and Kasey Snyder, Christopher Meals. His great grandchildren: Jordan, Rebeca, Kristin, Gatlin, Chelsey, Austin, Calebb, Austin, Fressia, Chris, Dominic, Zander, Zane, Katly, Kylee, Kirsten, Kadence, Kegan, Calleb, Monroe, Adison, Logan, Lily. Bill also has 2 great great grandchildren Lilianna and Declan. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a son William K. Meals, his brothers Richard Meals and his wife Verla, Keith Meals and his wife Joanne and Donald Meals and his wife Sally. A sister Shirley Burdette and her husband Harold. One granddaughter Jess Snyder.
Family will receive friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 2-4 with funeral service to take place at 4 pm.
Internment will take place at the Clintonville Methodist Cemetery.
