Dennis E. Steinert, 73 of Clintonville passed away peacefully, September 10, 2019 at Grove City Hospital.
Dennis was born March 29, 1946 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late John Charles Steinert and Martha Jane Ruhl Steinert.
Dennis attended Pittsburgh Public Schools. He attended Frick Elementary School and graduated from Connolly Vocational High School.
Dennis proudly served his country. He enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Dennis was stationed in Germany during 1966-1969 and was discharged with the rank of Corporal.
Dennis was an over the road truck driver. He was employed by UPS and also Chrysler. Dennis also drove for local companies as well. When his health permitted he loved to spend time in the woods hunting. As of lately Dennis enjoyed doing crafts and was happiest spending time with his family and friends.
Loved ones to cherish Dennis’s memory are his brothers Deryl John Steinert and his wife Betty of Penn Hills, Darwyn Charles Steinert of Pittsburgh and Dennis’s sister Deborah R. Steinert of Amherst Ohio. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive. His long time companion Mary Hamilton of Clintonville, her children and grandchildren that Dennis considered his own; Chuck Hamilton of Grove City, Tammy Lapp and her husband Bill of Grove City and grandchildren Jordan, Crystal and Mindy.
Dennis was welcomed into heaven by his parents a brother Donald Paul Steinert, sister in law Mary Therese Steinert and infant grandson William Thomas Lapp.
Family will receive friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville PA on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Funeral services will take place Friday evening at 6:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Denise Mains officiating from Grace United Methodist Church, Clintonville.
Burial will take place Saturday morning at the Clintonville Methodist Cemetery.
