Floyd Shuler Obituary

Floyd "BUD"  R. Shuler, 86 of Grove City passed away May 12, 2018 at Butler VA Health Care, Butler PA.

Bud was born February 2, 1932 in Oil City, he was the son of Floyd Shuler and Lena McFadden.

Bud graduated from Emlenton High School.  He then married Evelyn Leopold on July 5, 1957, together they had four children Cynthia, Robert, William, and Donald

Bud retired from Joy Manufacturing as a machine operator.   Bud also worked at Cooper Bessemer in Grove City.      Bud served his county in the Navy from September 13, 1950 till his honorable discharge on July 6, 1954.  He earned the National Defense, Korean Service and United Nations Medals. 

Bud was a life member of the Boy Scouts of America, Grove City Elks, Snow Difter Snowmobile Club the Franklin Moose.  He enjoyed hopping on his snowmobile and going for a ride.  He and his wife loved to travel and go camping.  He was a skilled wood worker as well.   Bud loved steam engines and has quite a collection of HO Trains and track.

Loved ones left to cherish his memory is his wife Evelyn of Grove City, his daughter Cynthia Makoby and companion Woody of Grove City, sons Robert Shuler and his wife Tammy of Virginia, William Shuler of Grove City and Donald Shuler.   5 grand and 5 great grandchildren also survive. 

Preceded in death by his parents a sister Connie May, a nephew Rodger A. Stahlman and a niece Teresa Sniven.  Bud was the last surviving member of his immediate family. 

Family will receive friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville on Tuesday,  May 15, 2018 from 11-2.  Funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 2:00 pm.  Rev. Kenton Shaw, retired pastor will be conducting the funeral service.  

Interenment will take place at Crestview Memorial Park.
