JoAnn Welton, 68, of Kennerdell passed away at home surrounded by her family on October 4, 2019 following a courageous battle with cancer.
JoAnn was born April 4, 1951 in California. She was the daughter of the late John J. Bottini and Donelda Ferris Bryant.
JoAnn graduated from Atascadero High School and continued her education at Questa College where she earned her registered nursing degree. JoAnn was drawn to nursing by her kind heart, caring nature and compassion for others.
She married John E. Welton on June 13, 1970, and they recently celebrated 49 years of marriage. Together, John and JoAnn had 3 children: Stephanie, Brian and Hilary.
As a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit, JoAnn worked at several hospitals, including Sierra Vista Hospital, Oil City Hospital, Franklin Hospital and most recently UPMC Northwest.
JoAnn loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she always supported them in all of their endeavors. Family holidays, events, and moments were very special to her. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, horses, dogs, and traveling coast to coast.
Loved ones left to cherish her memory include her husband John E. Welton of Kennerdell, her mother Donelda Bryant of California, her daughter Stephanie McConnell (husband Ryan) of Stoneboro, her daughter Hilary Amon (husband Alan) of Stoneboro, her brother John Victor Bottini of Indonesia, her sister Denise Ramos of California, her grandchildren Ashley McConnell, Hunter McConnell (fiancé Lakin Harris), Tucker Amon and Carly Amon all of Stoneboro, and numerous nieces and nephews.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her father John J. Bottini, her son Brian Douglas Welton, and her grandson Brandon Amon McConnell.

The Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, Clintonville, PA, is assisting the family with final arrangements. A private family service will be held.
