Mary "Jo" Shaw

Mary "Jo" Shaw, 76, of Clintonville passed away January 15, 2019 at her home.

Mary was born January 28, 1942 in Slippery Rock, she was the daughter of William Spanberger and Effie Christy Spanberger.

Mary worked for many years at Autumn Grove Nursing Home as a nurse’s aid.  She enjoyed going to Indian Pow-Pows and traveling to Gettysburg.  Mary was a true animal lover.  Her home always had a dog or cat in it.  Most recently her dog Jackson brought her much joy. 

Mary is survived by her children  Marcia Shaw of Clintonville, Stacy Hartle and her husband Dave of Knox and Randy Shaw of Clintonville. 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren,  3 sisters Dorothy Miller and her husband Max of Wesley, Esther Spanberger and Patricia Bodien both of Oil City also survive. 

Preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons Greg Spanberger who passed away in 2005 and Mike Shaw who passed away in 1990, sisters Freda Reese, Doretta Martin and Linda Kurr; brothers Dale, Ron, Jim and Bob Norcross. 

The Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, Clintonville, handled the arrangements.  

Burial took place at Lamey Cemetery.
