Michael Romanko Obituary

Michael Romanko, 79 of Trinity Living Center, Grove City formerly of Emlenton passed away August 7, 2018.

Michael was born September 23, 1938 in McKees Rock Pa, he was the son of the late John and Veronica Pensko Romanko.

Michael graduated from Emlenton High School, and retired from Joy Manufacturing in Franklin as a group leader.   Mike also worked with his brother William running Romanko Brother Enterprises, together they stripped many local coal mines.   Mike was a farmer at heart, running a dairy farm most of his life.  He enjoyed going to the New Wilmington Livestock Auction not only for the sales but also to grab a piece of pie while enjoying the sale.  He was a avid hunter and fisherman when his health permitted.   Mike was a member of the Saint Michael Roman Catholic Church in Emlenton. 

Loved ones left to cherish his memory is his sister Mary Jane Ellison of Florida, his nieces and nephews; John Romanko of Mercer, Robert Romanko and his wife Brenda  of Virginia  William Romanko and his wife Georgia of Ohio, Christine Wright and her husband Mark of North Carolina, Rich Romanko and his wife Janice of Pittsburgh and Gene Ellison and his wife Susan Tracy of Florida.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, brothers William Romanko and his wife Marcella, John Romanko and his wife Betty, a brother in law Wilbur Ellison, and a niece Kathleen Findley.

Family will welcome friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 6-8.  Funeral services will take place at the Saint Michael Roman Catholic Church, 807 Chestnut Street,  Emlenton PA on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
