Richard L. Evans, 89, of Harrisville passed away September 5, 2017 at Grove City Medical Center.

Dick was born November 6, 1927 in Grove City, he was the son of William Evans and Mary Ray Evans.  He graduated from Grove City High School.   He worked for  Cooper Bessemer.    Dick went to apprentice school for 5 years before becoming self employed as a powder maker.  Dick proudly served in the US Army from 1946-1947. 

Dick married Delores J. Thompson on May 17, 1952.  Delores preceded him in death on November 26, 2014.   Dick and Delores both enjoyed traveling.  Dick was a avid outdoors man, hunting, fishing and camping where favorite pastimes. 

Loved ones left to cherish Dick's memory are his children: Scott Evans of Jackson Center; Kelly Rossi and her husband Christopher of Grove City; Sharyn McGallis and her husband John of Grove City and William Evans and his wife Kathy of Harrisville, seven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers Ray and Martin Evans.

A memorial service will take at later date and will include full military honors.  The Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home in Clintonville is handling the arrangements.
