Barbara Cross

 Barbara Cross, 83, of Eau Claire, passed away November 2, 2022 at Passavant Hospital in Pittsburgh. 

Barbara was born on April 23, 1939 in Butler to William and Geraldine Shaner Sellers.    She graduated from Northern Butler County Joint Schools, graduating in May of 1957.  Barbara furthered her education at Erie and Butler Beaty School. 

Barbara was married to Milford “Gene” Cross for 55 years.

Barbara had her beauty salon in Eau Claire for over 60 years.  She enjoyed the friendships she made with her clients throughout the years.  Barbara loved being with her family, especially her husband.  She would be seen every Monday cleaning her windows while the shop was closed.  Barbara loved to can all the vegetables her and Gene grew throughout the summer. 

Loved ones to cherish her memory is her husband Gene and her beloved dog Jackson; her bonus kids Thomas McFadden of West Virginia and Carissa Stewart and her ex-husband Derek of Hooker.  Her brother Richard Sellers and his wife Missy of Eau Claire, her sister in law Pat Sellers of Cherry Valley, her bonus grandkids Jerrik Grove, Madison Stewart and Gracelynn Stewart.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.  

Barbara was welcomed into heaven by her parents and her brother William Sellers.

Family will receive friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville PA on Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00.  Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Hughes officiating. 

Burial will take place at Eau Claire Cemetery.
