Benjamin E. Perez

Benjamin E. Perez, 40, of McKees Rocks, passed away August 12, 2023.

Ben was born August 26, 1982, in Butler.  He was the son of Edward Perez, Sr. and Linda Wentling Miller.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirates Fan.  He loved to draw, but his true passion was music.  He was a gifted guitar player and had recently played in the Faithbridge Community Church worship services in McKees Rock. 

Loved ones to cherish Ben’s memory are his mother Linda Miller and her husband Randy and his father Edward Perez, Sr. and his wife LaVerne.  Other immediate family members include Ben’s maternal grandmother Elizabeth Wentling;  Ben’s siblings Angelica Perez-Johnston and her husband Matthew; Edward Perez, Jr and wife Jeannie; Skylor Perez; and Elizabeth Wentling and her partner Shane Kemmer. Benjamin also leaves behind his nephew Breadon Walker (Angelica) and his maternal aunts and uncles including Barbara Babusci (Bill), Beverly Richter (Albert), Deborah Hasty (Steve), Edward Wentling, II (Carol), Cindy Najera, Thomas Wentling (Lesly), and David Wentling (Mary). Numerous cousins also survive. 

Luke 15:20 “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him." Ben was also welcomed into heaven by his maternal grandfather Edward Wentling, I and a maternal uncle Richard Najera.

A memorial service is being scheduled for a later date and will be announced.  The Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, Clintonville PA is assisting the family with arrangements.
