Carole J. Wells

Carole J. Wells, 80, of Boyers passed away unexpectedly Wednesday at UPMC Northwest Seneca after twice surviving lung cancer.
Born Nov. 4, 1933, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Flora Peterson.
Carole graduated from Baldwin High School and furthered her education in college, receiving an associate degree for medical secretary.
Carole was married to John S. Wells III on May 28, 1954, in Pittsburgh, and he passed away Aug. 23, 2005.
Carole was a member and elder of East Unity Church.
Carole worked for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where she registered patent numbers. She retired in 1999.
Carole was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She liked to watch golf on television, especially Phil Mickelson. Watching NASCAR was something that Carole enjoyed also. Dale Earnhardt was her favorite NASCAR driver.
Surviving is her daughter, Christy J. McCamey and her husband, Roger, of Boyers, and their children, Sarah R. McCamey of Butler, Emily J. Klecha and her husband, Carl, of Seattle, Wash., and Molly J. McCamey of Boyers; her son, John A. Wells and his wife, Angela D., of Eau Claire, and their children, Lindsey Wells of Eau Claire and C.J. Wells of Eau Claire; and her brother, Don Peterson and his wife, Lois, of Upper St. Clair. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Bentley.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Peter J. Wells, who passed away Feb. 19, 2011, and her brother, Bob Peterson.
Wells - The family of Carole J. Wells, who passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014, will receive friends at Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton St., Clintonville, from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will immediately follow at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Prosser, retired Presbyterian minister, and Pastor Brent McMasters of Six Points Church of God Prophecy, officiating. Interment will take place at East Unity Cemetery.
