Cynthia A. Sweetapple, 67 of Kennerdell passed away December 14, 2024 at her home.
Cindy was born March 7, 1957 in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Barbara Baker Fertig.
Cindy graduated from AC Valley High School. She married James Sweetapple September 6, 1980. Together the couple had three children, Hope, Paul and Amy. The couple celebrated 33 years of marriage prior to Jim’s passing on August 12, 2014.
Cindy worked at Polk Center for a number years as an RSA. Cindy was most happy with a houseful of her family. She loved having picnics and parties to celebrate every occasion. Her grandchildren will always remember her keeping them in line. Cindy was always up for a game of bingo or ladies’ night. She enjoyed going to the Scrubgrass Grange and doing the numerous activities. She looked forward to getting her nails done. Sunflowers where her favorite flower.
Loved ones to cherish her memory is her daughter Hope Jabrou of Oil City, her son Paul Sweetapple of Kennerdell, her son in law Matthew McCoy of Kennerdell, her sisters Debbie Snyder and her husband Larry of Reno and Tamie Wright and her husband Tom of Sandy Lake, sister-in-law Julie Fertig of Kennerdell. Her beloved grandchildren Samuel Ostroske of Kennerdell, MacKenzie Ostroske of Kennerdell, Athena Bell of Latrobe, SPC Kendra McCoy US Army, Merissa McCoy of Kennerdell, Peyton Chelton of Oil City and Alexander Sweetapple of Erie. Numerous nieces, nephews, brother and sister in laws also survive.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her daughter Amy McCoy and her brother Frank Fertig.
