David d. Erskine, 75, of Emlenton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, July 21, 2025.
Born on November 15, 1949, in Pittsburgh, David was the son of the late Donald and Elsie Hicks Erskine.
David graduated from Perry High School. He worked as a telecommunication consultant in the 80’s for multiple radio stations, and then ran “Dr. Dave” CB Shop in Barkeyville. He had an Amateur Radio License and a HAM Radio License.
In 1994, David married Donna Bowe who preceded him in death on May 6, 2025.
David cherished old friendships. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his many cats that were like family, firearms, fireworks and anything outdoors. David enjoyed many years serving in the dairy goat community (B.A.D.G.A.). He had an addiction to hot and spicy foods from around the world.
His love of laughter and enjoying the 4th of July to its maximum potential will always be remembered. He will be missed by family and many close friends since childhood.
David is survived by his children Davina (Mark) Harman of Mars, Pamela Erskine of Valencia, Shawna (Chris) Littlejohn of Butler and David C. Erskine of Butler; grandchildren Sam (Corey) Melhorn of Emlenton, Austin (Tara) Erskine of West Deer, Bailey Campbell of Mars, Joey Vivirito of Mars, Natalie Coughenour of Morgantown, WV, Morgan Coughenour of Pittsburgh, Elizabeth Littlejohn of Butler and Brody Littlejohn of Butler; and great grandchildren Raiden Melhorn, Kye Erskine, Kohen Erskine and baby boy Erskine due in November.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
