David Matthew Ostroske, 50, of Kennerdell passed away unexpectedly at his home, September 4, 2024.
Dave was born January 27, 1974 in Erie. He was the son of the late James Ostroske and Kathyrn Dalmaso Ostroske Lutz.
Dave graduated from Cranberry High School as the Co-Valedictorian in 1992. He continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh, earning his bachelor’s degree in mathematics. He was currently employed as a Data Base and Network Developer in the Pittsburgh area. Dave loved to be on his computer, he received his first computer in second grade. He enjoyed his weekly online group meetings and playing board games with his family. He loved watching Soccer Premier League and the Pittsburgh River hounds.
Loved ones to cherish his memory are his mother Kathryn Lutz and her husband Daniel of Oil City, his brother James E. Ostroske II of Kennerdell, nephew Samuel Ostroske of Kennerdell, niece MacKenzie Ostroske of Kennerdell, his uncle whom he was very close with Russell Gregory of Pittsburgh, his aunts and uncles; Raymond Dalmaso and his significant other Carol Fox of Franklin, Sue and Paul Hoover of Franklin, Maryanne and Jeremy Martin of North Carolina, Louis Mark Dalmaso of North Carolina, Edward and Chin Lutz of New Jersey, Kimberly and Luke Felmlee of Cranberry, Tim and JoAnn Lutz of Seneca and Stacey and James McCain of Oil City. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Dave is preceded in death by his father James Ostroske, his paternal grandparents Sam and Gladys Gregory and his maternal grandparents George and Florence Dalmaso, and his Aunt Janet Sweetapple.
Family will welcome friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, Saturday, September 7, 2024 from Noon till 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Sue Hoover officiating.
The family suggest in lieu of flowers memorial donations in Dave’s name be sent to Juvenile Diabetes Cure Alliance, PO Box 5021, Hagerstown, MD, 21741-5021.
