Don Rumbaugh

Donald Lee Rumbaugh, 59, of Nectarine, passed away March 6, 2026 at the Butler Hospital.

Don was born May 16, 1966 in Grove City. He was the son of the late Ronald W. and Bonnie L. McFadden Rumbaugh.

Don graduated from Frankin High School and went on to the New Castle School of Trades.  He retired from General Electric as a machinist. 

Don was a member of the Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years.  He held the rank of Lieutenant for numerous years.    Don was a member of the Parker Allegheny Canby Lodge 521 and also New Castle Consistory, New Castle PA.  

Don proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He was honorable discharged in 1993 with the rank of SPC.  He received the National Defense Service Medal, Driver and Mechanic Badge, Expert Marksmanship Badge and Sharpshooter Marksmanship Badge Rifle M-16 while in the Army.

Don loved to ride his Harley.  He had enjoyed gong for rides with his friends when his health permitted.  You never had to worry about where you stood with Don, he was honest and let you know exactly how he was feeling.  His quick wit and joking personality will be missed! 

Loved ones to cherish his memory are his sister Debbie Bonzer and her husband Doug, sister Donna Kline and numerous nieces and nephews.  Don was blessed with many dear friends as well that he considered family. 

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Step mother Emily, his brothers Ronnie and Bill, maternal grandparents Floyd and Pearl McFadden and paternal grandparents Wilbur and Helen Rumbaugh. 

Friends and family will be received at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville PA on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Sam Stebbins officiating from Sinners Sanctuary Church.   A funeral dinner will take place after the funeral services at Sinners Sanctuary Church, 2178 Clintonville Road, Harrisville PA 16038.
