Earl Thompson Obituary

Earl “Bud” Thompson, 69 of Grove City, passed away peacefully July 30, 2022 at home.

Bud was born on September 28, 1952 in Mercer.  He was the son of late Earl E. Thompson and Esther L. (Seidle) Green.

Bud graduated from Sharpsville High School.  He was married to Bonnie Croy on December 6, 1980, together the couple had three children.  Bud worked for Reznor as a material handler in manufacturing and also for Sharon Steel.

Bud loved to be riding his Harley!  He was an avid Steelers fan and looked forward to March Madness.  He was happiest when his family was together.  He and Bonnie celebrated 42 years of marriage together.  One of Bud’s greatest accomplishments was being sober for 30 plus years through AA.  He was happy to help anyone needing to start their journey of sobriety or to help stay on track.

Thompson of Grove City.  Bud’s sisters Jayne L. Brady of Fredericktown, PA and Mary L. “Dolly” (Matt) Heim of Greenville; Bud’s brother David C. (Pat) Thompson of Greenville.   Bud’s grandchildren who brought him great joy; Waylon Thomas Hawke of Grove City, Nadia Violet Miller of Charlotte NC,  Francesca Louise Thompson of Herman and Bud’s newest grandson to make his arrival on Bud’s 70th birthday, baby boy Miller.
