Gary Vanistendael

Gary L. Vanistendael, 71, of Harrisville formerly of the Clintonville area, passed away December 7, 2025 at Autumn Grove in Harrisville.

Gary was born November 5, 1954 in Franklin.  He was the son of the late Morris Vanistendael and Margaret (Wolford) Shaffer.

Gary received his education from AC- Valley.  He was known throughout the Clintonville area for grabbing rides at the corner in town to go to Barkeyville.  He always gave you a smile and wave when you passed by.

Gary is survived by his siblings Jean (Dave) Bishop of Jefferson Hills, Bob Aiken of Emlenton, Doug (Gina) Shaffer of Harrisville and Terry (Shelly) Shaffer of Harrisville.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. 

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Morris and Fred Vanistendael.

Family will welcome friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville for a time of remembrances on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from noon till 2:00 p.m.
