Gregory W. Matassa Jr.

Gregory W. Matassa Jr., 42, of New Castle passed away November 24, 2020.

GW was born July 9, 1978, in Grove City he was son of Gregory W. Matassa Sr. and Nancy Gothe Matassa.

GW graduated from AC Valley High School.  After graduation GW went to truck driving school and obtained his CDL and his inspection license.  He had previously worked in Barkeyville at the CB Shop and most recently at Golden Coral as a cook. 

GW loved taking his son, Little G, fishing.  He enjoyed ride his four-wheeler as well.

GW is survived by his mother Nancy Gothe Matassa, his father Gregory W. Matassa Sr., his son Gregory W. Matassa III, his sister Bobbi McGarvey and her husband Tony, his brother Travis Matassa and his wife Amanda, his niece Sophia, nephews Carter, Thatcher and Cooper complete his family.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Robert A. and Marjorie A. Gothe, and his sister Stacy Lynn Matassa.

The family suggests memorial donations be sent to the Bair Foundation, 241 High Street, New Wilmington PA 16142 in Greg’s honor.

Services are private, the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, Clintonville assisted the family with arrangements.
