Henrietta Smith Obituary

Henrietta Smith, 68, of Kennerdell passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family Sunday, October 7, 2018 following a long illness.

Henrietta was born March 5, 1950 in San Antonio Texas to Ramón and Henrietta Rivas.  She married James L. Smith on August 21, 1970 and he survives.    Together the couple had 3 children James, Timothy and Angel.

Henrietta will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.  From her birth till her passing she nourished the family around her with love.  She loved family above all and loved music.  Her voice was truly exceptional and could easily captivate any audience.  She will be deeply missed by her family and all friends. 

Loved ones left to cherish her memory is her husband James of Kennerdell, her children James Smith II of Kennerdell, Timothy Smith of New York and her daughter Angel Smith-Kahmar of Pittsburgh.  Her grandchildren; Cartiss, Linetta and James great grandchildren Charles, Serenity and Zeke.  Brother and sisters also survive Robert Rivas of Texas, Carmen Danna of Texas, Maggie Rodriguez of Texas and Guadalupe Rivas of Texas.

Proceeded in death by her parents, her sisters Irma Estrella and Connie Brown and a grandson Bobbie Kahmar.

The Larry E. McKinley Funeral  Home in Clintonville is in charge of the arrangements.
