Jack R. Strawbridge Jr., 61, of Grove City, passed away December 25, 2023 at his home.
Jack was born June 11, 1962 in Grove City and was the son of the late Jack and Rose (Storm) Strawbridge. Jack graduated from Franklin High School in 1980.
Jack was employed at Hovis Auto and Truck Supply in Grove City delivering parts to local shops. He proudly served in the United States Army and was honorable discharged. Jack was a proud veteran.
Jack shared his life with Marlene Snyder for the last 30 years, she survives.
Jack was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguin fan. He loved going to NASCAR races with Marlene and looked forward to watching the races on tv. Jack didn’t pass up a Texas holdem game or a lottery ticket. He loved music and had enjoyed going to the Eagles concert.
Loved ones to cherish his memory is his significant other Marlene Synder, Marlene’s daughter Marissa McCalmont and her husband Weldon and their children Leland McCalmont and Courtney Quist and her husband Alex whom Jack considered his grandchildren, Jack’s sisters Marilyn Brinkley, Claire Wendell and Linda Strawbridge, Jack’s brother Jim Strawbridge, Jack’s sister-in-law Betsy Strawbridge and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Rose, his sister Rosemary Muha who passed away October 17, 2011 and his brother Edward Strawbridge who passed away November 5, 1999.
Jack’s family will welcome friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville, on Friday December 29, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m.
