Joan K. Gindhart, 73 of Trinity Living Center formerly of Boyers passed away peacefully Sunday, May 20, 2018.
Joan was born June 27, 1944 to James and Agnes Tethers in Saratoga Springs New York.
Joan graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in Philadelphia.
Married Richard Gindhart on May 25, 1968, he passed away January 2, 2016.
Joan was Catholic in faith and practiced up until her heath did not permit it, while living in Philadelphia Joan attended St. Katherine of Siena.
Joan enjoyed the simple things in life, taking care of her family and her pets. She loved her cats Pepper and Tiger. She enjoyed a good novel and always had music playing in the house. Joan would visit the Delaware River on occasion to watch the people and the boats passing by. Her grandchildren brought her great joy later in life.
Loved ones left to cherish her memory is her son Kurt Gindhart and his wife Amanda and two grandchildren Grace Rose and Kurt Robert Gindhart. Her sister Shelia Clarke and her husband AJ from New York, her brother Michael Tethers and his wife Nina of California. Her sisters in laws Gloria Whalen and her husband Frank of New Jersey and Anna Mae Antes of PA, Joan's long time friend Lynn Peszka.
Preceded in death by her parents and husband and two brothers James and Thomas Tethers.
Family will receive friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 4-6 with funeral service to take place at 6:00 pm with the Rev. Mr. Nick Cirell, Permanent Deacon of the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Emlenton officiating.
