John E. Wood

John Edward Wood, 74, of Kennerdell, passed away at Hamot Hospital in Erie, November 24, 2024

John was born January 4, 1950, he was the son of the late John J. and Edna (Stewart) Wood. 

John was married to Bonnie McElroy Wood, she survives. 

Earlier in life John loved to take his family camping and taking his kids fishing.  He was happiest tinkering around his house fixing things.  Spending time together with his family was so important to him. 

Loved ones to cherish his memory are his wife Bonnie of 41 years of Kennerdell, his daughters Angie Dunlap of Oil City and Zina (Tom) Puckett of Utah, John’s grandchildren Desiree Vanistendael of Franklin, Syndey Dunlap of Maryland and Mikaylee Clevenger of Kennerdell and 4 great grandchildren.  Also surviving John are two sisters, Janet (Tim) Wagner of Oil City and Diana (Alan) Lovejoy also of Oil City and many nieces and nephews. 

John was preceded in death by his parents, two sons; Michael Wood and John J. Wood, a sister Patricia Finnefrock and a brother Richard (Dick) Davis.

Per John’s wishes there will be no services.  The Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, Clintonville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
