Joseph Kelly Jr, 77, of Clintonville passed away September 19, 2024 at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Joe was born April 11, 1947 in Elwood City to the late Joseph Kelly Sr and Ida Mae Barnhouse Kelly.
Joe graduated from Lincoln High School. He enlisted into the service and proudly served his country in the Marine Corp.
Joe married the former Mary Downs on April 4, 1966. Together the couple celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary this year.
Joe was last employed at his niece's woodshop, Little Johns Woodshop as carpenter. He was a former Clintonville Water and Sewage Authority member and also a former member of the Clintonville Boro Board. He loved to hunt and fish earlier in life. Joe and Mary enjoyed riding his motorcycle and looked forward to day trips they took together. He was an avid wood worker and made items his family will treasure. His family will miss him giving them a hard time with a smile on his face.
Loved ones to cherish his memory is his wife Mary Kelly of Clintonville, his children Joe (Ronica) Kelly III, Cheri (Gerry) McFadden and Ken (Mary) Kelly. His sisters also survive Patty (Larry) Houk and Debbie Kelly his grandchildren David (Suzy) Wright, Joshua Wright, Krystal Wright, Raelin Rieger, Cadence Rieger, Brandon (Ashley) Rieger, and Christopher (Xena) Rieger and one great grandson.
Joe was welcomed into heaven by his parents and sister Joanne VanGorder.
Family will welcome friends to the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville, on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Hughes officiating.
Burial will take place at the Eau Claire Cemetery.
