Margaret “Midge” Eakin, 78, of Clintonville passed away December 22, 2020 at Meadville Medical Center.
Midge was born December 28, 1941 in West Monterey PA, she was the daughter of Franklin L. Witherup and Mabel Whippo Witherup.
She graduated from AC Valley High School. She married Donald Eakin on November 4, 1960. He passed away November 7, 1989.
Midge worked in the Clintonville area most of her life. She was a waitress at the Plaza Restaurant in Emlenton and also worked at Ski’s Market. Midge was the center of her family. Each grandchild and great grandchild knew how special they where to her. She loved them fiercely. One of Midge’s favorite past times was dancing. She rarely missed a dance at the Clintonville Firehall. She looked forward to the change of seasons, always up for a car ride to look at the leaves or Christmas lights. Midges most important and loved role in life was taking care of her family and being a Mom. Midge always had a house full of plants she loved to take care of. Midge loved taking care of all animals, especially her cats.
Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her children Debbie Crissman and her husband Tom of Clintonville, Diane Stubblefield and her husband John of Ohio, Donald Eakin and his wife Wanda of Kennerdell and Dina Graff and her husband Bill of Clintonville. Her grandchildren Jessica Crissman and her partner Manny Alvelo, Josh Crissman and his wife Wendy, Megan Young and her husband James, Marisa Moore, Clinton Graff, Brooke Dunwoody and her husband Dylan, Jake Crissman and his girlfriend Skylar Wyman and Donnie Eakin. Her great grandchildren Jace Crissman, Dawson and Noah Moore, Caleb Crissman, Gage Moffitt, Dexter and Olivia Young. Her sister Betty Bowser and brother Larry Witherup. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Midge’s best friends Carol Jean Sembrot and Karen Brown also survive.
She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, husband and a great grandson Jaydon Crissman, her brother George Witherup and a sister Jane Gallagher.
Family will welcome friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville, Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will be private. Burial will take place at the Clintonville Methodist Cemetery.
