Margaret R. Rakers, 90, of Kennerdell passed away July 4, 2024.
Margaret was born November 11, 1933 in Pittsburgh. She was the daughter of the late Walter O. Marzolf and Ruth Webb Marzolf.
Margaret graduated high school in Pittsburgh. Margaret was first married to Lee Roy Francis who preceded her in death, she later was married to the William Rakers who also preceded her death. She was a devoted housewife and mother. Margaret was a member of the Kennerdell Church of God.
Margaret loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. They will miss her excellent baked goods she made for them. Walking to church on Sundays and taking evening walks through Kennerdell was a favorite past time. Margaret took great pride in keeping her yard mowed and looking nice. She mowed well into her 80’s! She loved to travel especially her yearly trips to Mrytle Beach.
Loved ones to cherish her memory are her children: William Rakers Jr. (Leanne), Rebecca Stout (Jack), Tom Francis, Glenn Francis (Kathy), Carl Rakers (Mary) and Karen Nickel (Dan). Also surviving are her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren which she cherished and her brother Walter Marzolf (Peggy).
Margaret was welcomed into heaven by her parents, husbands Lee Roy Francis and William Rakers, her brother Charles Marzolf and two grandsons Ronnie Nickel and Carl Anthony Rakers.
Family will welcome friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville PA on Sunday, July 7, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home, Monday, July 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bobbie Nelson officiating from the Kennerdell Church of God.
Memorial donations in memory of Margaret may be sent to the Kennerdell Church of God.
