May Jean Francis, 91,of Grove Manor for the past four years,  formerly of Wesley passed away April 30, 2016 at Grove City Medical Center.

Jean was born February 28, 1925 in Meridian, Butler County, she was the daughter of David D. Hawk and Daisy M. Shakley Hawk.

Jean married George Francis   on July 23, 1942 in Beaver Pa, he passed away March 21, 1988.

Jean received her education from the Butler Area Schools.  

Jean was a devoted housewife and mother.  She enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends.  She kept busy by doing a variety of crafts and sewing.    She also attended Wesley United Methodist Church.

Jean is survived by her children Kenneth Francis of New Castle, Don Francis of Wesley and her daughter Linda S. Hanna and her husband Tim of Kennerdell.    Her grandchildren Patrick Hanna and his wife Jennifer of Harrisville, Amanda Goodrick of Kennerdell, Shawn Hanna and his wife Laurie of Kennerdell and Michael Hanna and his wife Erin of Brookeville,  and granddaughters Lisa and April;  15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandsons. 

Preceded in death by her parents, husband a daughter Roberta Hamilton who passed away in 1995, 2 brothers David and Raymond Hawk, 3 sisters Grace Schmidt, Dorothy Hawk amd Mildred Pfeil.   One granddaughter and one grandson also are preceded. 

Family will receive friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville Pa on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 6-8.  Funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 11:00 am with the Pastor Don Dittman, Chaplin at the Caring Place officiating.  Internment will take place at Old Log Cemetery.
