Mildred Welton

Mildred E. Welton, 101,  passed away June 2, 2025 at her home.

Mildred was born March 2, 1924 in Russellton Pa.  She was the daughter of the late Roy and Julia Garlitz Deniker.

She spent her early childhood in Boynton PA and had many fond memories of Casselman River, Flog Hills and areas around Boynton and relatives of that area. After her family moved to the area near Grove City  she finished her education.

Mildred was welcome into heaven by her parents, brothers and sisters Marion Knaff, Elsie Deniker, Florence Orton, Vera Deniker, Walter Deniker and Emma Deniker.  Mildreds ex-husband of nearly 45 years, Clarence Welton who she married at age 15. 

Together they had Clarence L. Welton, who is deceased, and his wife Verla, Alice Shumaker (Tom), Virgina Boling (Jeff), William Welton (Wanda) and April Wells (Larry, who is deceased).  Many grand,  great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews hold her memory dear to their hearts.

Milred loved her family deeply and looked forward to being together.  She liked camping and fishing and took great pride in her flowers. She enjoyed trips to Twinsburg Ohio, Relay for Life Events and was a proud supporter of the Penn Ohio Youth Rodeo where in 2017 she was named the Originial Grandma Rodeo Queen.  She loved sewing pillows for friends, family and gave hundreds of pillows to the rodeo as thank you gifts for the volunteer help and Veterans.  She actively sewed until late January of this year.  She will be greatly missed.

The Larry McKinley Funeral Home in Clintonville is assisting the family with arrangements and services are private.
