Opal E Stewart, 69, of Kennerdell passed away June 12, 2025 at the home of her brother.
Opal was born October 10, 1955 in Franklin. She was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Mary (Carter) Latchaw.
Opal graduated from Rocky Grove High School. She was married to Kenneth Stewart on October 11, 1983. Kenny passed May 13, 2025.
Opal retired from waitressing in the Franklin area.
Opal enjoyed her cross-word puzzles, playing bingo and watching paranormal T.V. shows. She was known for her Christmas cookies that her family looked forward too. Opal loved her family deeply and will be dearly missed.
Loved ones to cherish her memory are her beloved dog Molly, her daughter Heidi L. Moore and her husband Brian of Kennerdell, her brothers and sisters Barry (Julie) Latchaw of Clintonville, Rick (Cheri) of Greenville, Herb (Judy) Latchaw of Missouri and Laura (Dan) Rhodes of Florida. Brother and sister in laws Sterling Lee Stewart of Franklin and Amanda (Brian) Mushrush of Meadville.
Opal is preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother Charles Latchaw.
The Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home is assisting the family with Opal’s arrangements. There are no services planned at this time.
