Paul Paich, 88, of Kennerdell passed away May 2, 2016 at UPMC Seneca.
Paul was born in Rockland on April 15, 1928, he was the son of George and Millie Peekovic Paich.
Paul received his education at Rockland School, he was married to the former Patricia Mason from Kennerdell, Paul and Pat would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in October. She survives.
Paul worked tirelessly in different places to provide for his family. He retired from Brown Boiler Works, in Franklin, PA, where he was shop foreman. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. In his leisure, he and his wife restored two antique cars and won awards at numerous car shows. Paul was a talented woodworker. After retirement, he enjoyed building various stringed instruments that were played by his wife and cherished by his family. He was a devout member of the Kennerdell Church of God, where he held several positions on the Board.
Paul is survived by his wife Patricia, and sons David Paul and wife Sue (Kagle) of Cranberry, PA; Robert Mark and wife Roseanne (Augustine) of Kennerdell PA; and James Douglas and wife Tina (Middleton) of Kennerdell PA. He is also survived by grandchildren Heather Paich, Laura Shema and husband Michael, their children Hailey and twins Aiden and Caleb, Jodi Paich-Kohlstrom and son Kaj, Bob Paich, Mark Paich, Chris Paich, Bethany Brown and husband Damon and their daughter Leyla. Paul is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, George Paich and Millie Peekovic, as well as his siblings Mildred, Nick, Stella, Mitcho, Mary, George Jr., Anna, Katy, Millie, Thomas, Martha, and Theodore. Two sisters died in infancy.
A memorial service for Pat and Paul's family and church family will be held at the Kennerdell Church of God, Kennerdell PA on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Bobbie Nelson will be officiating.
