Ralph Edward "Fudd" McKnight, 63, of Boyers passed away Saturday at the Grove City Medical Center after an extended illness.
He was born on April 19, 1950, in Grove City, the son of Carl Edwin McKnight and Ester Coulter McKnight.
Fudd married Dixie Rihel on Nov. 25, 1972, and she survives.
He was in the U.S. Marine Corps for 10 years.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 243 in West Sunbury. Fudd was active in the Marion Township Volunteer Fire Department as a firefighter and EMT.
He was employed by McClymonds Supply and Transit in Portersville, Pa. He was a triaxle driver most recently, but also had driven over the road for the company.
He was a member of the Boyers United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Mindy McKnight of Boyers; his two sons, Adam McKnight and Ryan McKnight, both of Boyers; his brother, Robert McKnight and his wife, Erma, of Grove City; his two nephews, James McKnight of Grove City and Jon Rihel of Eau Claire; and his niece, Kristy Rihel Martino of Boyers. His brother-in-law, James Rihel of Hilliards; his sister-in-law, Ann Newburn and her husband, Gene, of Eau Claire, and several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and a nephew, Nathan Newburn.
McKnight - The family of Ralph Edward "Fudd" McKnight, who passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, will receive friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton St., Clintonville, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. The funeral services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Kate Reitz of the Eau Claire, Hilliard and Boyers United Methodist Church and the Rev. Willard Morse, retired Methodist minister, officiating.
Interment will take place at Old Annandale Cemetery, Marion Township, Butler County.
The family suggests memorial donations be sent to the Marion Township Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 136, Boyers, PA 16020.
