I had Mr. Holt at FHS for Algebra and I believe they lived on our block on Grant St when I was very young. Sorry to hear of his passing, he was a good teacher. Peace be with his family.

Patsy, you and your family were so blessed to have your father. He was my algebra teacher for a couple years.  He was one of the most patients teachers I ever had.   When he introduced to us a new way to do things, when he got done explaining it,  he would look at me and say my name, and ask me if I understood the problem.  If I did not he would do it again and again and again, until I got it.  If it was taking a while which sometimes it did, he would ask me where I got lost and then explain it from there.   He was one of the most patient,  kindest teacher I've had in high school.
I'm so so sorry for your loss prayers and hug sent.

We were saddened to hear of Uncle Dick’s passing. He leaves behind fond memories. I remember him and his family from the Holt Cousins` reunions in Jefferson County back in the 1970’s. I am so glad that my sons got to meet him when he came to my father’s funeral.
