Ronald W. Rumbaugh, 82, of Nectarine, passed away April 22, 2016 at Grove City Medical Center.
Ron was born January 28, 1934 in Kaylor Pa, he was the son of Wilbur P. Rumbaugh and Helen McElhaney Rumbaugh.
Ron graduated from Karns City School. He enlisted in the United States Army from 1956-1958. Ron worked for Pullman Standard in Butler, he worked maintenance and also worked in the paint department, painting cars and as a inspector. He was a local meat cutter in the Butler area for numerous years. Ron retired from Trinity Industries where he did maintenance work.
Ron was first married to Bonnie L. McFadden Rumbaugh who passed away August 14, 1975. He later married Emily R. Rumbaugh and they celebrated 39 years of marriage together.
Ron was a member of Shiners, the Consistory in New Castle and Butler Lodge number 272. Ron took pride in his work. He stayed busy working around the house or on a project. He was the care taker for Old Log Cemetery for many, many years. He loved to spend time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Emily of Nectarine, his daughter Debra Fay of Ohio, twins Donald Lee Rumbaugh of Nectarine and Donna Lynn Kline of Sharon, his two step sons Wallace J. Bonzer and Douglas E. Bonzer both of Ohio. His brothers and sisters Virginia and Lois Rumbaugh of East Brady, Maxine Smith and her husband Bill of East Brady, Lee Rumbaugh and wife Cheryl of Cabot, Bob Rumbaugh and his wife Dolly of Chicora, Alvin Rumbaugh and wife Tanya of Chicora, Bernard Rumbaugh and wife Diana of Chicora and Dennis Rumbaugh and wife LeAnn of Butler. Three sister is laws Rachael Rumbaugh of Ohio, Rose Rumbaugh of Chicora and Cathy Rumbaugh of Butler. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Proceeded in death by his two sons Ronald J. Rumbaugh who passed away March 31, 2010 and William "Bill" Rumbaugh who passed away December 9, 2013. Four brothers Ronald twin Donald, Harry, Richard and Jack Rumbaugh. One sister Ruthie Rumbaugh.
Family will receive friends at Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville on Tuesday April 26th from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 am at the funeral home Wednesday April 27th. VETS Ceremonial Squad of Franklin will perform military honors at the interment at Old Log Cemetery.
