Sylvia A. Knight

Sylvia A. Knight, 81, of Barkeyville passed away September 20, 2025 at her home.

Sylvia was born November 3, 1943 in Barkeyville and was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Edna J. (Allhouse) Miller.

Sylvia graduated from Victory Joint School. She was a devoted housewife and mother.  Sylvia was happiest when her house was full of family.  She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and looked forward to spending time with them.  She has made many crafty items that her family will treasure. 

Loved ones to cherish her memory are her son William “Bill” (Jana) Van Dyke Sr. of Harrisville and her daughter Rosanna (Jeff) Metcalf of Harrisville. Her long-time partner Ed Custer, her brother James Miller of Grove City.  Her grandchildren William “Will” (Megan) Van Dyke Jr. of Harrisville, Cody (Tasha) Walter of Cooperstown, Rachelle (Mitch) Van Dyke of Grove City and Cheyenne (Adam) Savage of Harrisville, great grandchildren Owen, Noah, Emma, Jaxson, Colton, Hayleigh, Cyerria, Alannah, MaKenzie and Liam also survive. 

Syliva was preceded in death by her parents and infant son.

Services will be private.  The Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, Clintonville, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Burial will take place at the Mt. Irwin Cemetery.
