Thomas J. Diehl, Sr., 70, of Kennerdell, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, November 13, 2020.
Tom was born August 20, 1950 in South Hills of Pittsburgh. He was the son of Thomas Gordon and Mary Young Diehl.
Tom graduated from South Hills High School. After high school he attended California University.
Tom was married to Connie Moore on July 18, 1970. Together the couple had two sons, Kenny and Thomas. The family had a celebration of Tom and Connie’s 50 years of marriage earlier this year.
Tom retired from Asbestos Workers Local #2 out of Pittsburgh. Tom worked as an insulator.
Tom attended the Kennerdell Church of God and was a member of the Clintonville Lions Club. Tom was happiest spending time with his family, especially his great granddaughters. He loved to go hunting and wood working. He was always up for playing cards as well.
Loved ones left to cherish his memory is his wife Connie of Kennerdell, his son Thomas (TJ) Diehl of Kennerdell. Tom’s daughter in law Carey Diehl of Coraopolis; Tom’s brothers and sisters Linda Hewitt (Dave) of Florida, Gordon Diehl (Georgia) of Bridgeville and Rose Audibert (Bruce) of Florida. Tom’s grandchildren Rebekka Diehl Dinh (Tom) of Franklin and Corina Diehl (Shawn) of Franklin. His great granddaughters Bella and Trinity Dinh both of Franklin.
Tom was welcomed into heaven by his parents, his son Kenneth Diehl and a sister Cindy.
Family will welcome friends to the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville PA on Sunday, November 15, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8. Funeral services will take place at the Kennerdell Church of God, 151 Watson Ave., Kennerdell PA 16374 on Monday November 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
