Sandra L. Alcorn, 70, of Sandy Lake formerly of Grove City, passed away September 4, 2017 at home.

Sandy was born April 20, 1947 in Grove City, she was the daughter  of late John "Homer" Campbell and Lois Mae Oliphant Campbell.

Sandy graduated from Victory Joint High School.  She was married to Ronald Alcorn on August 13, 1966, he preceded her in death on August 31, 2013.

She was employed from 1966 to 1968 at Slippery Rock State College in the Registrar Office as the Alumni Secretary.  Sandy took great pride in keeping a home for her husband Ron and her daughters, Laurie and Lisa.  She was a proud grandmother and often spoiled her family with her baking.  She loved the Lord and would share his gospel whenever she could.    Sandy was a member of the Wayside Community Church in Mercer.    Earlier in life she attended  Barkeyville Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School. 

Loved ones left to cherish Sandy's memory are her children; Laurie K. Mayne and her husband Stacy of Sandy Lake and Lisa A. Staph and her husband Andrew of Grove City.  Her twin brother Rodney Campbell and his wife Marcia of Franklin, her 4 grandchildren Daniel Mayne and his wife Jody of Hadley Pa, Matthew Mayne of Sandy Lake, Rachel Staph of Grove City and Victoria Staph of Grove City.  

Sandy was welcomed into heaven by her parents, her husband Ron, her son Jeffrey Alan Alcorn whom passed away in infancy, and her sister Barbara Sue Campbell who also passed away in infancy.

Family will receive friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street, Clintonville on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9.  Funeral service will take place at the Wayside Community Church, 1911 Mercer-Grove City Road, Mercer PA  on Friday,  September 8, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Lester Rowan officiating. 

Interment will take place at 3:00 pm on Friday, at East Unity Cemetery.
