Eliza "Jane" Garner, 84, of Orchard Manor, formerly of Barkeyville, passed away on January 4, 2017 at Orchard Manor surrounded by her family. 

Jane was born May 21, 1932 in Claytonia  Pa to Burton and Blanche Heller Hilliard.  Jane was one of six children of Burton and Blanche.

Jane received her education in Claytonia upon meeting her husband Laverne G. Garner.  The two were married November 22, 1952 and together they had 4 children.  Laverne passed away May 13, 1981. 

Jane's love to taking care of people carried over to her work at Orchard Manor.  Jane was a nurses aid at the home for 30 years.  She also worked in any area of the home needing a extra hand like custodial and also in dietary.  Jane's family enjoyed many family gatherings and shared great meals and many laughs.   In earlier years Jane attended county music concerts with her friends.  Later in life the company of her grand children and great grandchildren brought her much joy, MaMa's door was always open for a visit or a quick bite to eat. 

Loved ones left to cherish Jane's memory are her children:  Linda Garner of Grove City, Jean Garner of Barkeyville, Ronald Garner and his wife Connie of Boyers, Dennis Garner and his wife Kathy of Harrisville, Jane's grandchildren:  Tanya McFadden and her husband Corey of Kennerdell,  James Garner of Boyers, Chelsey Garner of Stoneboro, Charles Williams and his wife Tiffany of Hilliards.  Jane is also survived by her 3 great grandchilden: Cole, Alexis and McKenzie McFadden of Kennerdell.    A sister also survives, Freda Stone and a brother James Hilliard and his wife Bev of Butler.   A special niece Sis Lominski of Parker survives along with numerous  nieces and nephews also.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers Baynard and Herbert Hilliard; a sister Louise Double. 

Family will welcome family and friends at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton Street Clintonville, PA on Sunday January 8, 2017 from 1-3 and 6-8.   Funeral service will take place at the funeral home Monday, January 9, 2017 at 11:30 with a hour of visitation prior to the service.   Rev. Stephanie Thompson, Chaplain of Orchard Manor will be officiating the service. 

Interment will take place at Annadale Cemetery, Boyers PA.  The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Eliza memory to Boyers United Methodist Church.
